Eco friendly fireplace

If you are looking to add a feature fireplace to your home but don’t want to disturb your walls, floors or ceiling during installation there is a solution.

Whilst propertyenvy.co.uk was attending the Ideal Home Show in London we came across a great luxury product that also has a green rating.

The Naked Flame is a company that designs and makes incredibly stylish fireplaces and portable fires that have a stunning naked flame.

But the unique part of the product is the way it is fuelled.

Each fire requires no internal hookup, no gas and no wood.

They burn on bio fuel made from waste vegetation which produces a beautiful flame with no smoke.

The fuel comes as a liquid that looks similar to water and is put into a tray inside the fireplace.

Simply light and adjust the cover to your preferred blaze and your fire is lit.

The benefit of these fireplaces is that they only require brackets to be put on the wall and they can be hung anywhere.

“It is the only way to get a real flame without a flue,” Andrea Riley from The Naked Flame said.

The fireplaces come in many stylish designs; we love the Simplicity which is pictured and also the Ignite which has a pebble floor inside the hearth.

The company also makes decorative portable fire features including blazing pots, cubes and pebbles ideal for outdoor entertaining.

Seeing double with a combined fireplace TV

For the best visuals in your living room, Safretti and Ad Notam have joined forced to create the Double Vision, a unique television and bio-ethanol fire combination to captivate your guests this winter.

Exactly how eco-friendly are antiques?

Buying antique furniture could be up to 16 times more eco-friendly than buying new, suggests new research by Carbon Clear. The study took into consideration the energy consumption of building a chest of drawers in the Victorian era and the longevity of the product, compared to a new item from a modern retailer.

Stylish eco-friendly breakthrough for chimneyless houses

A breakthrough biofuel fireplace range can now offer upmarket homeowners, without a flue or gas supply, the chance to have the feel of an open fire. Living It Up has created a fire revolution fuelled by bioethanol.

Ultra slim Path paves the way in radiator chic

MHS Radiators has unveiled a tall, slim and funky model aimed at adding a stylish slant to modern pads. The Path is available in three widths - 300mm, 400mm and 500mm - and is 1,800mm high, ideal for tight spaces or awkwardly shaped rooms.

A cocoon for the home

Now is the time to consider heating for the winter and it seems bio ethanol is the trend this year. While summer might not be over any heating installations in your home need to be in before it gets cold to take full advantage of the benefits.
