Surrey tops the list of property wealth based on a value per person basis.
According to data from property website PrimeLocation the net worth of property in the UK is £5.6 trillion.
When broken down into counties Surrey clocks up the best total property value topping the list of affluent property locations.
Surrey homes are valued at £288 billion, making up 5.1 per cent of the total value for the UK.
Property wealth in Surrey per head works out to show that each person has about £255,125 worth of property to their name.

“Property wealth per head is driven by one key factor: demand,” Nigel Lewis, property analyst at PrimeLocation.com said.
“Homes in and around the capital will always be sought-after because of the increased population density in the south and its better employment opportunities.”

In terms of regions the majority of the top ten wealthiest property locations are from the south of the country.
The South East holds the greatest property wealth making up 30 per cent of the UK’s total property wealth or £1.65 trillion.
In fact Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire and Kent all feature in the top ten list.
The South East is followed by London on £1 trillion and the South West on £488.3 billion.
